“PORTERS became the foundation that supported our shift from individual work to true team-based operations.”
ー Mr. Yoda Takahiro, Career Consultant
QHR Recruitment is the Thailand subsidiary of QUICK Co., Ltd., a comprehensive HR services company in Japan. Our parent company offers a broad range of career and recruitment services, including talent placement, staffing, outsourcing, and job advertising. In the talent placement business, it brings deep expertise across specific industries, with strengths in construction and real estate, nursing, and manufacturing.
Our Thailand subsidiary was established in 2020. We provide talent placement services across industries, focusing on Thai nationals, Japanese expatriates, and global talent who want to work in Thailand. Our main clients are Japanese companies, both in manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors.
The QUICK Group places a strong emphasis on global expansion. In addition to Thailand, we have bases in the United States (seven locations), Mexico (two locations), Vietnam, and Europe, including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Germany. Our Thailand office is in a growth phase within the ASEAN region, with Japanese staff working alongside local Thai colleagues.
When our Thailand subsidiary was established in 2020, we had no system in place to manage candidate or job information. From the very beginning, we knew we needed to build a solid data management foundation to run a recruitment business effectively.
The biggest factor was the track record within our group. Our Mexico subsidiary had already adopted PORTERS before us, and their success was a strong reference point.
We also evaluated other systems, but PORTERS stood out in terms of how well it fits our needs. The features and design philosophy matched what we wanted in terms of data management and delivering the right service to both clients and job seekers. In a talent placement business that handles a massive volume of information, we judged that PORTERS was the easiest and most effective system to use from a data management perspective.
We use PORTERS to centrally store and manage the enormous volume of client company information and candidate information we handle. This centralized data serves as the foundation for all our matching activities. We are deeply committed to quality service. By sharing accumulated information across our team, we strive to propose the candidates best suited to each client's needs.
We also use PORTERS to improve the quality of our job descriptions. By leveraging its functionality, we have standardized and refined the format of our job postings, making them clearer and more attractive to candidates. While there is still room for improvement, we have continued to steadily raise the quality of our service since our founding.
Beyond day-to-day operations, we extract data such as closing rates and other KPIs from PORTERS and use them to inform our business and management strategy. This allows us to visualize our strengths and identify areas with room for growth, which has become a valuable resource for deciding our next moves.
Yes. Thailand has some unique candidate needs that we must account for. In Bangkok, proximity to a train station is often a key factor, while in regional industrial estates, commuting distance and company shuttle services have become more important. We manage this kind of information in PORTERS, linking it with benefit details, so we can deliver more precise matching that reflects the realities of working in Thailand.
One of the biggest results has been the expansion of our coverage to multinational talent. Previously, our business was centered on Thai nationals, but once PORTERS gave us a solid foundation, we were able to fully roll out our placement services for Japanese and other nationalities as well. This has led to a significant increase in revenue.
Internal information sharing has also improved dramatically. The information gap between our Japanese and Thai staff has essentially disappeared, and client information and know-how are now shared smoothly across the team. As a result, we have reduced the amount of time spent on confirmation work, and overall team productivity has gone up. PORTERS has become the foundation that supports our shift from individual work to true team-based operations.
On the service quality side, data analysis through PORTERS has allowed us to steadily improve things like job descriptions, which directly raises the quality of service we deliver to candidates.
The extent to which information sharing would change our team dynamics was beyond our expectations. Moving individual performance to an organizational approach was not originally framed as a goal of the PORTERS implementation, but it became one of the most meaningful changes for our business.
The first strength is the attentive, ongoing support. PORTERS does not simply deliver the system and step away. They continue to provide advice as our business moves through different growth phases, acting as a true partner walking alongside us. We receive concrete suggestions on metrics and improvement points that we would not have noticed on our own, and this outside perspective has been extremely valuable.
The second strength is the high level of customization. As our business evolves, we can flexibly adjust the fields and metrics we use. Whether we are in a launch, growth, or stable phase, we can add or remove functionality as needed, which gives PORTERS strong long-term value.
Multilingual support is also an attractive feature for a team like ours that works across languages and nationalities.
PORTERS is a scalable platform that can support companies at every stage of growth. In the launch phase, it works well as a straightforward information management tool. In the growth phase, it evolves into a sophisticated data analysis platform.
I would recommend PORTERS to any company looking for a partner that supports the business over the long term. Whether you are a one-person company or a large enterprise with tens of thousands of employees, and whether you operate in a single country or across multiple regions, the flexibility and customizability of PORTERS will be a major strength.
Our focus going forward is on deepening the quality of our service to strengthen our brand and recognition in the Thai market. We want to be known not just for placing people, but for making placements where the talent we introduce truly contributes to the growth of the company after they join.
Beyond placement itself, we also want to contribute to the broader market. Many Japanese companies in Thailand face real challenges in recruitment. We aim to support them through consulting on interview methods and how to communicate their appeal to candidates, helping improve both hiring success and retention rates. Through this work, we hope to contribute to raising the overall value of Japanese companies operating in the Thai market.
